Admittedly my blogging activity has decreased over the last few months. This is largely due to starting a new job and being very involved in trying to get The Family Nexus premium subscription features launched. Thanks to all my readers for their support. I enjoy sharing what I have learned with each of you, and learning from your vast experience!

When I was young in my early teenage years I used to love sitting and listening to my mother’s stories of her past. She was one of those people who always liked to talk about this subject; when it came to my Father it was a different case because he never spoke of his past. I think it was because he lost his young brother early in life. His brother I found out had been rushed into the RHCH Winchester for burst appendix and was dead on arrival. Also my grandfather on my Dads side joined the Dorset Regimentvin 1901 aged 12 year old he served in France WW2 and got injured and passed away in 1921 but I never met any of them because I was born 11/12/1947
